Mitigation of risk is at the forefront of ensuring a safe and successful drilling program is maintained, through the years WDD has continually strived to ensure the safety of all workers and visitors whether that be at the frontline on a drill rig or in the Kalgoorlie yard.
To achieve a result statisfactory to WDD's expectations the management system must reflect the importance of an on going and a pro active safety culture, examples of how we achieve these expectations is through;
Where additional safety or operational measures above and beyond Westralian Diamond Drillers high standards are required we are open to discussion in ensuring all parties are working in collaboration, this could include such items as site based audits, desktop audits, inspections, safety improvement programs or any changes necessary to a drilling program to ensure both parties fulfill their obligations effectively.

- Training of all workers at each level of the organisation to achieve the required skills, knowledge and experience necessary to undertake their job role safely and effectively. This includes for all drill crew members to undertake the Certificate II, III and IV in Drilling Operations once the 3 month probation period has successfully been completed.
- Aligning the management system and working towards accreditation of ISO 45001.
